Managing orders

The orders app makes taking payments so much easier. Open tabs, print or split bills before settling up or print an order for employees to fulfil.

Taking payments from your inventory is easy with your Clover card machine. Create orders with your inventory items through the Register app, and manage and edit these orders through the Orders app.

Re-open an order to add further items

  1. Open the Orders app
    Here you’ll find a list of all your orders. ‘Paid’ orders are those orders you’ve already taken payment for, orders labelled ‘Open’ haven’t been paid for.
  2. Select 'Re-Open'
    Once you’ve located the order you wish to add more items to, select it and press ‘Re-Open’, this will take you to the Register app.
  3. Select the items from the Register app
    In the Register app, find the item(s) you wish to add to the order, select it and press ‘Review Order’. Once you’ve added all the items, press ‘Save’ to save to order and take payment later, or press ‘Pay' if the customer is ready to pay.

  1. Open the Orders app
    Here you’ll find a list of all your orders. ‘Paid’ orders are those orders you’ve already taken payment for, orders labelled ‘Open’ haven’t been paid for.
  2. Press ‘Add Payment’
    Once you’ve located the order you wish to add more items to, select it and press ‘Add Payment'.

Re-issue receipts, print a bill or print an order to fulfil

If you need to share an order with another employee before the orders been paid for, or give your customer a bill before they pay, you can. Just follow these steps:

  1. Open the Orders app
    Here you’ll find a list of all your orders. Once you’ve located the order, select it.
  2. Select ‘Re-issue receipt’
    Press the three dots at the bottom right hand of the screen, then press ‘Re-issue receipt’ and ‘Print Bill’.
  3. Split a customer's bill
    You can also use the Orders app to split the bill across multiple customers if you need to.
  4. Open the Orders app
    Here you’ll find a list of all your orders. Once you’ve located the order, select it and press ‘Add payment’.
  5. Select the three dots menu
    Select the three dots in top right corner of the screen to view the options to split the bill. ‘Split by custom amount’ allows you to split the bill evenly 2 ways, 3 ways or as many ways as you need. ‘Split by items’ allows you to select the items each customer wishes to pay for.
  6. Press 'Pay''
