What is a countertop card machine?

A countertop card machine does pretty much what is say’s on the tin. It is designed to operate in one fixed location (your counter) to reliably take payments from your customers. Countertop card machines often have the option for fixed connectivity, such as Ethernet on the PAX A80.

Is it easy to set up a countertop card machine?

It’s easy to set up your PAX A80 card machine. You’ll get a guide in the box to help you, but all you have to do is connect the included power cord and your Ethernet cable (if you’re not using Wi-Fi) and place your brand new countertop card machine where you intend to use it.

After you’ve done this, you’ll be able to start taking payments straight away.
