Taking a payment on your PAX device
Find out how simple it is to take payments using Tyl’s PAX A50, A80 or A920 Pro devices.
In this article:
Taking payments in person
- On your PAX device, open the “Nexo” or “NatWest Payments” app
- Select the ‘sale’ shortcut from the app home screen
- Select ‘payment’
- Enter the amount and press ‘confirm’
- Insert or present card
- Insert card into chip card reader on the bottom edge of the device, enter the pin and press ‘confirm’
- or, present the payment card to the contactless reader located at the top on the back of the terminal
Important!
Some cards, particularly those from outside the U.K. may prompt for a customer signature to be captured either on your merchant receipt or if you have an A50 terminal, on the screen itself.
It is very important that you confirm if the signature matches the one on the back of the customers card and then carefully follow the prompts on the terminal screen. Failing to confirm the signature was correct, will result in the transaction voiding after three minutes and not being processed.
