Setting up your PAX device

Setting up your new PAX A50, A80 or A920 Pro is super straightforward, from unboxing to taking card payments in just a few easy steps.

PAX A50

  1. Unbox and dive in
    1. Getting started with PAX A50 is easy with our handy PAX A50 in-box getting started guide (PDF)
    2. Otherwise see our summary steps below and you’ll be on your way in no time at all.
  2. Get connected
    1. Your PAX A50 will automatically connect to 4G, or you can connect to Wi-Fi in “Settings”. You’ll need your supervisor code to adjust the device settings, we emailed these to your when you joined Tyl.
  3. Open the ‘Nexo’ or ‘NatWest Payments’ app
    1. Use the “Activation” code we emailed you as the password (keep the other codes safe).
  4. Get to know your card machine
    1. Tap ”Payment” in the Nexo app to start taking payments. Check out our articles to learn how to take payments and issue refunds.

  5. Explore the customer portal
    1. This is where you'll see your trading data come to life. On your computer, log in to the portal, bookmark it and reset your password. At the end of day 1, go to your portal to see your days takings.

PAX A80

  2. Get connected
    1. Plug in your PAX A80 with the included power supply and connect the Ethernet cable supplied to both the terminal and your router. Or, if you’d prefer, you can connect to Wi-Fi in “Settings”. You’ll need your supervisor code to adjust the device settings, we emailed these to you when you joined Tyl.
  3. Open the ‘Nexo’ or ‘NatWest Payments’ app
    1. Use the “Activation” code we emailed you as the password (keep the other codes safe).

    1. Plug in your PAX A920 Pro charging base with the included power supply and place the terminal on the base, hold the power button on the side for a couple of seconds to turn on.
    2. Your PAX A920 Pro will automatically connect to 4G, or you can connect to Wi-Fi in “Settings”. You’ll need your supervisor code to adjust the device settings, we emailed these to your when you joined Tyl.
  3. Open the ‘Nexo’ or ‘NatWest Payments’ app
