We headed over to London’s luxurious Mayfair, to sample the equally luxurious hospitality of Tyl customer, The Caviar Bar. General Manager, Hedi Bouchier was keen to show us how Tyl is partnering with POS provider, akru, to help her hospitality business taste even sweeter.
Talking of taste, it’s a gorgeous venue. Green marble floors, underlit to bring the patterns to life and make you feel like you’re walking on glass. A sweeping bar, decked with glassware and bottles from around the world just crying out for a request for a complicated cocktail or ‘straight-up’ single malt. And in pride of place, a huge refrigerator, chock full of smoked salmon, cheese and The Caviar Bar’s own brand of caviar – the delicacy of… Kings?
“My father started the restaurant” Hedi tells us, “to show that caviar is not just an expensive luxury”. With their own importing business, their bespoke brand of caviar is their signature ingredient and the reason they can keep prices down.
Tucking into payments
As both a restaurant and an importer, reliable payments are vital.
“Most customers pay with card” says Hedi, “it’s important we have a system that is easy to use”. With simplicity as a driving factor, it’s not surprising that The Caviar Bar turned to Tyl by NatWest for their payments.
