At time of writing, we’ve just returned from Accountex 2026 in London. This annual exhibition of all things ‘accounting’ might be tough on the old feet, but it’s a priceless opportunity to hear directly from the accounting community. If you’re in the accounting, bookkeeping or related finance worlds, you’re going to want to read on.
Here’s what attendees were telling us at Accountex:
Pain in the BACS
Kamilla who works across Payit and Tyl told us, “I had several conversations at the show about the slowness and cost of BACS transfers. The customers were really interested when I explained that Open Banking could help with both of those issues”.
Tyl can help with electronic payments such as offering payment links to send to your customers. Beyond Tyl, businesses could look to Payit by NatWest – our Open Banking platform is well-placed to streamline large payments without the need of involving BACS.
Accountancy referral scheme
Kamilla also told us, “accountants were pleasantly surprised to hear that we could offer them a cash referral incentive for introducing their clients to Tyl. And that we could help them with card payments, too. They’d get an efficient payment system in place, and be confident about sharing the benefits of Tyl with their clients – and they don’t have to bank with NatWest”.

Growing businesses together
Mark, one of Tyl’s regional directors, had some great show-floor conversations around the support NatWest proudly offers. “Accountants loved the fact NatWest supported businesses of all shapes and sizes, and supported communities so openly. The business development support available across NatWest was amazingly well received”.

How we can help and where next?
As well as the exciting elements above, there’s a lot more for accountancy firms with Tyl. We can transform your invoices into clickable payment links, streamline payments over the phone, and more. All with the reassurance, experience and security that comes from an established high street bank.
