Here at Tyl we take a huge amount of pride in helping not just the businesses that use our services, but the communities they’re part of. To do that, we donate a portion of every transaction you take to charities and projects in need of funding through our Giveback Community Fund.
One of the many causes we’ve supported is Cambridge Women’s Aid. This charity performs some vital work, providing wide-ranging support to women and children in and around the Cambridge area who have suffered from domestic abuse.
We’re thrilled that the money we provide helps this fantastic charity provide tailored, in-depth support that goes the extra mile for women and children at a hugely vulnerable time in their lives.
Helping abused women and children turn around their lives
Cambridge Women's Aid helps women and children affected by domestic abuse in the city of Cambridge and south and east Cambridgeshire. It provides a free and confidential community-based outreach service and safe refuge, and one-to-one support for survivors of abuse for as long as they need. It also runs support groups and social programmes.
The charity has been active in Cambridge since 1977, and it’s part of the national Women’s Aid network of services for women and children who’ve been subjected to domestic abuse of all kinds. The expert advice, practical help and emotional support it has provided over the years have helped countless women regain control of their lives.

Our donations play an important role in helping to relieve the suffering and distress experienced by survivors of domestic abuse. Abuse has wide-ranging impacts on the lives of women and children, including on their mental and physical health, social relationships and financial means. In short, the money we provide help survivors rebuild their lives and regain their independence.
